  1. Walk & Talk: Fall Birds with Chuck Otte

    November 2, 2019, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ Fairmont Park

Fall in the Flint Hills means a change in scenery, but it also means a change in the birds you might see. Come join long-time Flint Hills natural resource expert and bird enthusiast Chuck Otte to learn more about the birds of autumn, how to identify the birds in our area, and have a great time with fellow nature enthusiasts. Whether you’ve been a birder for years, or you just want to try out something new, this is the walk for you! We will meet at Fairmont Park. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring your binoculars if you have them. This event will be held rain or shine unless deemed unsafe. Pre-registration is required by November 1 at 5:00 PM. Please register online, by calling 785-587-2726, or in person at the Flint Hills Discovery Center.
