RETRO GAMING NIGHT TO BE HELD ON AUGUST 24

Manhattan, Kan. – On August 24, the Flint Hills Discovery Center (FHDC) will be hosting Retro Gaming Night from 7:00-10:00 PM. Grab your controllers and dust off your cartridges, because we are going back in gaming history.

Guest of all ages are invited to join us for a night of friendly competition and fun as we take a trip through time with gaming systems from the past.

Sign up for a Super Smash Brothers Melee tournament with $200 in prizes. Check out the K-State Computer Science Showcase. Get your fill of class gaming stations including Atari, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis and more. Enter to win door prizes and enjoy light refreshments. Event sponsored in part by CivicPlus.

During the event, guests also receive admission to the Be the Dinosaur exhibit. Visitors can use virtual technology to eat, sleep and live as a dinosaur.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. $4 for all FHDC members in advance or at the door. $6 for non-members if bought in advance. $8 for non-members at the door. Please register online, by calling 785-587-2726 or in person at the FHDC.

Those interested in the tournament must register by emailing fhdceducation@cityofmhk.com. Registration is first come, first serve and will remain open until the 32 slots have been filled.
