NEW EXHIBIT EXPLORES THE WORLD OF ANIMATION

Manhattan, Kan. – The Flint Hills Discovery Center (FHDC) invites the community to visit its newest temporary exhibit, Animationland. Visitors of all ages will be transported to a fantastical land with a quirky cast of characters where inspiration is everywhere!

This exhibit will be on display from Saturday, September 19, 2020 through Sunday, January 3, 2021.

Animationland offers a fully immersive, interactive atmosphere where guests can learn to incorporate animation skills into the creation process. Dive into the world of storytelling and channel your creativity to develop your own animated production using storyboarding, sketching, stop-motion movie making and more! This enables guests to understand the interplay that occurs between art and science and how they can apply those skills to tell their own stories in unique and dynamic ways. Animationland empowers visitors of all ages to experiment, learn and tell their own stories through animation.

“I believe this fun and interactive exhibit will encourage all ages to learn more about the fun of animation and the world of storytelling,” said Susan Adams, Director of the FHDC.

Our staff has worked diligently to put new safety and cleaning measures into action to make sure our guests feel safe and comfortable when they visit. For a full list of cleaning procedures, visit flinthillsdiscovery.org/reopen
