Join us for a scenic day trip to the heart of the Kansas Flint Hills. The Tallgrass Tour takes you south from Manhattan to Council Grove for a day of pioneers and refreshing pints! We will start our morning at Trail Days Arts and History Center’s newly renovated building. We’ll learn about the rich history of the pioneers who founded Council Grove and the Flint Hills. Prior to lunch, enjoy a stroll down historic main street. Take some time to stop in and see their local shops. Then, we head to Hays House, which is a Registered National Historic Landmark and known regionally for its wonderful atmosphere. We will finish our Council Grove visit with a tour of Riverbank Brewing where they pride themselves on their welcoming atmosphere.

Round trip travel and tour fees are provided. Participants are responsible for lunch at Hays House and beer purchases, as well as any additional shopping. The tour leaves the Flint Hills Discovery Center at 8 a.m. and returns no later than 3 p.m. Age 21+ only. Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, November 16 at 5 p.m. Registration will open Monday, September 19 at 8 a.m.
