Pop-Up Exhibit: Grassland Interview
Saturday, March 7, 2020
Grassland Interview gives voice to a silent entity, allowing land itself to be the subject and the medium. This exhibit focuses on two critical aspects of the grassland life-cycle: controlled burns and dormancy. Experience artist Erin Wiersma & landscape architect Katie Kingery-Page's collaboration, see drawings of prairie plants made by local high school students and enjoy a variety of programming events.
On Saturday, March 7 at 11 AM, Kingery-Page & Wiersma will moderate a panel of three ecologists working within the Flint Hills as they discuss the significance of grasslands and grassland maintenance practices, such as controlled burns.
