Dr. Hertzler: The Horse & Buggy Doctor Lecture
Tuesday, October 15, 2019
Carrie Herman will share the fascinating story of Dr. Arthur E. Hertzler (the famous "Horse and Buggy Doctor") who is world renowned for his excellence in pathology, his love of children and his concern for health education of the general public. The Kansas Learning Center for Health was founded by his late widow as a memorial in his honor.
Carrie Herman took over the role as the Executive Director at the Kansas Learning Center for Health in July 2016. Prior to that she spent almost nine years at Asbury Park. Her leadership shines brightly thanks to her experience not only from being VP of Operations at Asbury, but also from completing the LeadingAge Kansas Center for Leadership program, serving as the Past President of the Newton Lions Club, Vice President of P.E.O. Chapter AK, and the Chair of the Central Kansas Community Foundation—to name a few.
This event is free and open to the public.
