Build and Brew
Saturday, October 15, 1-6 p.m.

We’re off to the northern Flint Hills for a day of manufacturing and fun!
First, we will visit Bradford Built, a family owned and operated truck bed manufacturer. See how a variety of beds are made for trucks of all types. Then, we will head to tour Kansas Territory Brewing Company. Learn the brewing process from start to finish and sample some tasty beers. We will also see their brand new distillery that has recently finished construction!
Round trip travel in 15-passenger vans and tour fees are provided. Beer samples are complimentary but participants are responsible for any additional beer purchases. The tour leaves the Flint Hills Discovery Center at 1 p.m. and returns no later than 6 p.m. Participants must be at least 21 years old. Pints and Pioneers
Saturday, November 19, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Cost: FHDC Members: $26, Non-Members: $30
Join us for a scenic day trip to the heart of the Kansas Flint Hills. This Tallgrass Tour takes you south from Manhattan to Council Grove for a day of pioneers and refreshing pints!
We will start our morning at Trail Days Arts and History Center’s newly renovated building. We’ll learn about the rich history of the pioneers who founded Council Grove. Enjoy a stroll down historic main street. Take some time to stop in and see their local shops. Then, we head to Hays House Restaurant, which is a Registered National Historic Landmark and known regionally for its wonderful atmosphere. We will finish our Council Grove visit with a tour of Riverbank Brewing where you can sample some of their delicious craft beer.
Round trip travel in 15-passenger vans and tour fees are provided. Participants are responsible for lunch at Hays House and beer purchases, as well as any additional shopping. The tour leaves the Flint Hills Discovery Center at 8 a.m. and returns no later than 3 p.m. Participants must be at least 21 years old.
