Welcome to StoryWalk® Downtown. We are featuring the book How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night? by Jane Yolen and Mark Teague. This imaginative story is full of wonderful detail and humor as parents try to put their dinosaur kids to bed.

The StoryWalk® begins and ends at the Flint Hills Discovery Center. Story pages are numbered one to 15 and are spread throughout the windows of downtown Manhattan businesses. Click the link above for our informative map.

Once you complete your StoryWalk® return to the Flint Hills Discovery Center to receive a free copy of the book. Once the books are all gone, we still will have a fun prize to give away!

What is a StoryWalk®?

A StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. It is a progressive story walk with laminated pages of a children's storybook placed at regular intervals.

StoryWalks® have been installed in 50 states and 13 countries including Germany, Canada, England, Bermuda, Russia, Malaysia, Pakistan and South Korea.

StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and has developed with the help of Rachel Senchal, Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Learn more here:
