Welcome to StoryWalk® Downtown. We are featuring the book From A to Z with Energy by Connie Bergstein Dow. This imaginative story explores creative ways to have fun and stay active as you play your way through the ABCs.

The StoryWalk® begins and ends at the Flint Hills Discovery Center. Story pages are numbered 1 to 14 and spread throughout the windows of downtown Manhattan businesses. Click the link above for our informative map.

Once you complete your StoryWalk® return to the Flint Hills Discovery Center to receive a free copy of the book. Once the books are all gone, we still will have a fun prize to give away!

What is a StoryWalk®?

A StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. It is a progressive story walk with laminated pages of a children's storybook placed at regular intervals.

StoryWalks® have been installed in 50 states and 13 countries including Germany, Canada, England, Bermuda, Russia, Malaysia, Pakistan, and South Korea.

StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and has developed with the help of Rachel Senchal, Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Learn more here:
