Nature Explorers, Jr. (Ages 5-15)

Enjoy nature with us in the Outdoor Classroom with this program designed for youth ages 5 through 15 with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers. Get hands-on and up close to the true treasures of the Flint Hills. Please wear sun protection and bring your refillable water bottles. Come prepared for all-weather outdoor learning. In the event of severe weather, Nature Explorers, Jr. will be moved indoors at the Discovery Center. Caregivers are welcome to join in the fun.

Nature Explorers, Jr. is free for Fall 2022 thanks to generous funding from the Beach Family Foundation.

Classes run 10-11 a.m. Register under the participant's name (not the caregiver's name). Pre-registration is required online, by phone at 785-587-2726, or in-person at the Flint Hills Discovery Center. Registration opens Monday, August 15 at 8 a.m.
