Nature Explorers Jr.

Enjoy nature with us in the Outdoor Classroom at the Flint Hills Discovery Center! Get hands-on and up close to the true treasures of the Flint Hills. This new program for our special populations community will help get individuals into the outdoors. Come prepared for all-weather outdoor learning.

Caregivers are welcome to join in the fun. This is a FREE program. Pre-registration is required for participants only. Registration open now!

Time to learn all about plants! Explore the grasses and flowers along our Prairie Garden Trail and create your own potted plant to take home!

June 3 10-11 a.m.              Insect Inspections

The creatures we all love and fear; bugs! We will look up close at common household and backyard insects with magnifying glasses. Design and create your own bug hotel to welcome your smallest neighbors.
