Zoo in You: The Human Microbiome

September 21, 2019 - January 12, 2020
Located in the Tallgrass Gallery on the Second Floor

Trillions of microbes make their homes inside our bodies, and we wouldn’t be able to survive without each other! Zoo in You invites people of all ages to explore the vibrant world of our inner microorganisms through engaging, interactive, and bilingual (English/Spanish) exhibits while discovering who our constant microbial companions are, where they live, how diverse they are, and in what ways scientists are discovering just how important they are to our personal health.

Eat Well, Play Well

September 21, 2019 - January 12, 2020
Located in the Mezzanine Gallery on the Second Floor

What is in the food we eat? Are fruits and vegetables important? Can everyday activities burn calories? Families, children and school groups will find the answers to these questions and more by exploring the worlds of nutrition and fitness in Eat Well, Play Well, a new, bilingual (English/Spanish), hands-on exhibit which examines healthy living strategies. Children and families engage with nine highly interactive areas which encourage the discovery that healthy choices are within their reach!
