Meet the Makers

March 11-15, 10:00AM-5:00PM
Interact with local crafters and artisans who will be demonstrating their work in our atrium on the first floor! Come see crafts like woodturning, watercolor painting, Henna body art, live pottery making and so much more. This event is free and open to the public!

Please note: Those wishing to explore the exhibits beyond the atrium at the Flint Hills Discovery Center must pay a general admission fee.

How to participate:

Are you a local artisan, crafter, or artist association who wants to showcase your work in our 2019 Meet the Makers series? We're looking for passionate people who want to bring art to our community!

Participant criteria:
  • Artists commit to a minimum of one daily session, 10:00am-5:00pm
  • Artists must provide live demonstrations of your original art and interact informally with the public
  • Examples include but are not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, woodwork, textile arts, printmaking, filmmaking, and performance art (e.g. dance)
  • Discovery Center provides tables and chairs
