January 27- April 29, 2018
Swing like a Spider Monkey! Jump like a frog! Discover a rodent that weighs over a hundred pounds and a beetle that can carry over 850 times its own weight! Rainforest Adventure brings the museum experience inside a fully interactive maze environment.
Everything from zip lines to monkey bars await as guests face both intellectual and physical tasks. Visitors explore one of the least known habitats on earth in a fully interactive maze exhibit chock full of the sights and sounds of a tropical rainforest! You will come out of the four layers of the rainforest with a knowledge of how humans effect this diverse ecosystem and how we can best preserve it.
Once you’ve left the rainforest, visit our Butterfly House in the Mezzanine balcony. Experience a room full of native Kansan butterflies gliding around you as you take in their beauty and learn more exciting facts about these delicate species!
