Explore the world of healthy eating with Max & Munch!
Seven-year-old Max is studying the USDA's simple plan for healthy eating, MyPlate, and it turns into a real adventure for him and his best pal Munch.
Max falls asleep and dreams about MyPlate turning into a flying saucer that brings them to a very cool supermarket. Here Max and Munch run around to the fives areas of MyPlate - fruits, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy - each featuring fun activities. next stop, a community garden where Max learns that even in an urban setting you can use large containers to grow vegetables in your backyard or on your balcony. From there they spy drive-thru and sit down restaurants; these areas encourage family conversation about making health choices when eating out. And for some exercise Max and Munch try their turn on the "Hot Plate" to see what they've learned on their journey so far.
This exhibit will provides exciting opportunities to experience hands-on benefits of healthy eating habits!
